Die Mandoki Soulmates spielten 2017/18 eine international ausgezeichnete Konzertreihe mit dem Titel „Wings Of Freedom - A Story Of Mother Europe“ mit standing ovations in den schönsten Konzerthäusern europäischer Hauptstädte Paris (L’Olympia), London (Hammersmith Eventim Apollo), Budapest (Budapest Park) und Berlin (Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt) sowie zum Abschluß im Beacon Theatre in New York City.

Gemeinsam auf der Bühne: Leslie Mandoki, Randy Brecker, John Helliwell (Supertramp), Al Di Meola, Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Bobby Kimball (Toto), David Clayton-Thomas (Blood, Sweat & Tears), Chris Thompson (Manfred Mann’s EarthBand), Nick van Eede (Cutting Crew), Cory Henry, Bill Evans, Klaus Doldinger, Till Brönner, Mike Stern, Tony Carey (Rainbow), Julia Mandoki. Das Bonus Material enthält noch weitere Konzertausschnitte u.a. mit Chaka Khan, Greg Lake (Emerson, Lake & Palmer), Peter Maffay, Jack Bruce (Cream), Nik Kershaw uva.

Die Geschichte der Soulmates begann vor mehr als 25 Jahren, als Leslie Mandoki erstmals die Größen des Jazz- und Rock für den Song „Mother Europe“ zusammenbrachte. Seither entwickelte sich dieses ambitionierte Jazzrock-Projekt zu einer weltweit einmaligen Band mit 10 gemeinsamen Alben und zahllosen Live-Konzerten.

Die Konzerte sind geprägt vom Zusammenspiel aller Künstler als eine Weltstar-Band, bei der jeder Einzelne sein Ego hinten angestellt! Dabei sind eigene Soulmates-Songs und kollektive Improvisationskunst auf höchstem Niveau ebenso Teil des Konzerterlebnisses, wie die Mega-Hits der einzelnen Bandmitglieder.

Die Doppel BluRay Disc enthält die komplette Show aus dem Konzerthaus Berlin (aufgenommen mit 16 Kameras) sowie Ausschnitte aus den Konzerten in Paris, London, Budapest, New York und weiteres Bonusmaterial.
